The Collapse of a Powerful Country

About two decades ago in December of 1991, the Soviet Union fell apart after 70 years as a nation. Before the break-up of the country, it had been the world’s most powerful communist country. Officials tore down churches, burned Bibles, made laws against teaching children about Jesus, and jailed Christians.


Thankful for Freedoms

On July 4th, Americans celebrated their country’s declaration of independence from Great Britain in 1776. Remember to pray for Christians in countries that do not give their citizens the same rights.

The following freedoms are a few of the rights guaranteed to U.S. citizens by the first ten amendments to the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and a few examples of how the lack of those freedoms affects Christians in other countries.
