Chinese Almond Jello

Boil 1 cup of water. Remove from heat and stir in ¼ cup of sugar and 2 packages of unflavored gelatin until they dissolve. Add 1 cup of milk and 2 tsp. almond extract and stir to mix. Pour into a pan about 13 inches by 9 inches and put it in the refrigerator until firm. Cut into squares. Serve with fruit on top if desired.
