“Many guerrillas are Christian children who have been brainwashed,” said Luis, a Christian in Colombia. Luis was kidnapped and forced to become a guerrilla. Guerrillas carry out illegal acts of war and terrorism.
Many of the guerrillas in Colombia are part of a group called “las Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia” (FARC), which in English means Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia. They are not part of a regular army.
Luis told workers from The Voice of the Martyrs about the jungle training camp where the guerrillas took him. “They have a strict schedule. We had to get up at 4:00 a.m. and do exercises. Breakfast was chocolate water, and lunch was watery soup. They repeated to us over and over, ‘God does not exist.’”
