A Sad Day in Nigeria

Several weeks ago, radical Muslims from a violent group called “Boko Haram” attacked a church in Nigeria. Jummai Nglari realized that her 4-year-old son was in the church. She was carrying her 7-month-old daughter, Affniki, on her back.

Jummai ran into the church and grabbed her son. Then the attackers shot her in the leg. She lay down on top of her children and pretended to be dead.

Jummai and her children escaped alive, but Affniki was shot in the hand, and her hand had to be amputated. Her father died in the attack.

The Voice of the Martyrs helps Christian widows and children in Nigeria. You can help, too, by praying for them.
