John 14:6 Changes a Girl’s Life in Pakistan

Nadia grew up in a Muslim home in Pakistan, where most of the people are Muslims. Her family slept on the roof during the hot summer season. (Many houses in Pakistan have flat roofs.) There was a church near her home.

One night, Nadia heard the pastor of the church praying over a loudspeaker. He sang worship songs, then he recited John 14:6, which says, “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’”

This verse touched Nadia’s heart. She thought, “If Jesus is the way, then what am I doing in the Muslim religion?” Nadia shared her thoughts with her Christian friend Rachel. Rachel encouraged Nadia and shared with her about Jesus. At the age of 11, Nadia accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior.

Nadia’s family found out she was praying and going to church. Her brother often hit her and tried to get her to deny Christ. One day, he caught Nadia entering a church. He dragged her out of the church, took her home, and hit her in the head with a bowl. Then he locked her in a room.

Nadia found an opportunity to escape. Later Nadia married a pastor’s son. Her family is still angry with her.

VOM workers have visited and encouraged Nadia and her husband and have given them Action Packs. Pray that those opposed to Nadia and her husband will also come to know Jesus.
