Rice for Families
Do you know what a drought is? A drought is when rain doesn’t fall for a long time. And as a result, many crops can’t grow.
Earlier this year, a drought in Laos kept villagers from growing rice. A village leader provided rice for the families in the village — except for Christian families. Seventeen Christian families were not allowed to have any of the rice, just because they were followers of Jesus.
Sadly, three of the families were so desperate to stop the persecution against them that they declared that they were no longer Christians.
The Voice of the Martyrs provided rice for the other 14 families. (See the photo above.) Pray that the Christians will be able to feed others in need and to be seen as a light in their village.
